Clapperboard Artwork Guidelines
The below instructions will help you prepare and send us your artwork correctly. Following these steps means we can get everything processed efficiently for you. Suitability for whether a board is engraved or printed depends on the graphics. Engraving lends itself to simple black and white designs with no more colour than a small camera ID.
Artwork for engraved boards must be provided in a vector format. Please consult your graphics team if you are unsure.
From April 2026, if artwork needs fixing or reworking, a small charge will apply, so it’s worth double-checking everything before you send it over! 🤓

Instructions
- Check your software is in CMYK colour space (not RGB)
- Set your file to 300 dpi resolution
- Create a new layer for your artwork as you will need to hide the template layer when you send us the final design.
- Make sure your backgrounds go all the way to the Bleed and the important stuff is within the Cut line (see below key).
- When you’re done hide the template layer and the pink lines should disappear.
- Export the PDF and then send us your artwork ☺️

Our GripSticks can be customised to whatever colours you'd like! Simply let us know the CMYK code for the chevrons that you'd like changing (labelled below). You can generate CMYK codes on websites such as w3 schools.
